Five Laws of Library Science
- Books are for use.
- Every reader their book.
- Every book their reader.
- Save the time of the reader.
- The library is a growing organism.

Notes
1. A library is not an archive. Books will get damaged. Books will be lost. When books are no longer of use, they should be discarded.
2.-3.
4. The organization of the library should be suited to the needs and interests of library patrons. This may (and often does) change over time.
