About Me

My name is Lizard (that's short for Elizardbeth).

I am an instructional librarian and scholar of cultural and media studies.

I am a child of the 1990s and Y2K era "Old Web," and today I am a librarian who spends way too much time on the internet. I like curating resources and designing stuff on the web for fun. I also study information, media and culture, especially dinosaurs, animals, and cultural studies of science.

I completed my MA in Media Studies at The New School in spring 2022, and I earned my MLIS from Simmons College in the School Library Teacher Program and my BA from Emerson College in Media Studies. I often study and write about comics, video games, and other media, even memes! My work has appeared in Studies in Comics, Dialogue: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Popular Culture and Pedagogy, Journal of Science Communication, and Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, and Technoscience.

Broadly, I like to think of my research as taking a high-minded approach to low-minded things.
